AgencyWeb® Selected for Minneapolis-St. Paul International
Airport Emergency, Fire and Police Communications

Dallas, TX (May 08, 2009) – Orion Communications, a provider of Public Safety software, announces that its AgencyWeb software has been selected to compliment the new TriTech Communication System for the Minneapolis Metropolitan Airports Commission. The Commission manages and operates the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and its six reliever airports. AgencyWeb’s Administrator, Evidence Manager and Virtual Viewer modules will be sharing data with TriTech’s VisiNet enterprise solution.

The new TriTech solution will enable the MSP Emergency Communications Center and first responder Fire, Police and EMS agencies to share data and communicate as one multi-jurisdictional system that supports multi-agency operations. As part of the new solution, AgencyWeb will be instrumental in helping each agency share data in order to improve workforce performance and better direct resource efforts.

“We are delighted to partner with TriTech Software and provide the MSP agencies with electronic capabilities that will enable them to automate, integrate and monitor their processes,” says Orion V.P. of Sales Keith Keller. “Our AgencyWeb solution is unique in that it is extremely flexible and will allow each agency leader to optimize their data by using it to manage performance efforts and control operations from the top down.”

For example, by interfacing with TriTech’s VisiNet Fire RMS™ and VisiNet Law RMS™, AgencyWeb Administrator will deliver comprehensive management of workforce personnel. Administrator will automate online management of personnel data, including critical information, payroll, scheduling, and training. Agency assets and fleet equipment for various departments will be managed electronically, including issuance tracking, returns, or discharges.

AgencyWeb Evidence and Property Room will be used for online management of evidence intake, handling, security, and disposal. Items will be tracked and controlled throughout their entire life cycle from the point of collection, through delivery by an officer until final disposition. Data from handheld bar code devices will used to update item information in real-time.

And AgencyWeb Virtual Viewer will be used for real-time access to data stored in any number of the MSP’s systems. Virtual Viewer will also be used to provide a public web page for citizens to access crime related information that can be used to assist neighborhood watch groups or alert associations of potential crimes alerts.

Virtual Viewer and the other AgencyWeb modules will be critical components for the new system, enabling real-time data coordination for multi-jurisdictional, multi-agency operations,” states Mr. Keller. “As a result, the MSP agencies will have optimal information coordination and management accountability of their people, events, and decisions.”
