What difference does 30 seconds make? During an emergency response situation, it can mean everything.

For stroke patients, a 30-second delay in care means potential brain damage. For those who have sustained a traumatic injury, an extra 30 seconds could lead to a worse chance of recovery.Police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel understand that they need to respond to calls as soon as possible. They rely on their local dispatchers to direct them where they need to go, but that can be a problem if dispatchers don't know which units are on-duty and fully equipped to respond to unique situations. When workforce management software is integrated with 911 CAD systems for rostering, dispatchers know which units are available for dispatching along with each unit's capabilities, personnel qualifications and any cross-staffing activities.

Thanks for watching, and check back later for more on how efficient dispatch centers can cut down on emergency response times.
