Conventional wisdom tells us that the government is persistently behind the private sector in information technology — especially on the local level. But this doesn't have to be true for every city and town. With the right software, public departments can match the tech-savviness of their private counterparts, and build efficient organizations as a result.

Workforce management is one area that is ripe for improvement. Residents demand quality public services, but they aren't willing to pay unlimited taxes for them. With the help of technology, municipalities are finding ways to work around limits set by tight budgets and staffing levels, while still remaining accountable to the public.

Thanks for watching, and check back soon to learn more about how technology is being used to improve public sector workforce management.
